A BRIT rock band has left fans devastated after playing their final-ever gig.
The Surrey-based chart stars – who announced their shock split last year – graced the stage for the last time with a farewell gig at Wembley’s OVO Arena on Friday.

Chart regulars You Me At Six took to Instagram in January 2024 for a sombre video filmed in a graveyard representing the death of the band for good.
Now they have wrapped up their career – after scooping seven top 10 albums – after rounding off their latest tour at the London venue.
The Lived A Lie hitmakers posted a collage of images to their Instagram grid, showing them embracing on-stage as well as a huge screen with a message to their loyal fans.
The white text on black background read: “We have been and always will be You Me At Six.
“2005 -2025 thank you.
“Sixers forever.”
Emotional fans were quick to comment underneath, with one pleading: “Come back already please, this isn’t funny anymore gonna miss you all so much. Thank you so much for everything.”
Another wrote: “Thank you boys for your music and for saving me and so many of your fans, I’m heartbroken that you’re retiring but your music will always live on, thank you.”
A third posted: “So gutted. Soundtrack to my life since before I can remember, thanks guys x”
One then gushed: “Thank you for everything. You guys have been there through it all. Love you forever! LONG LIVE YMAS!!!”
One of the most successful British bands of the 21st century, YMAS scored two number one albums in Cavalier Youth and 2021’s Suckapunch.
SPEAKING OUT
After the final gig in their 20th anniversary year, YMAS singer Josh Franceschi told The Daily Star: “We want to stand behind what we’re saying, so it would be wrong to say we have every intention to come back in 10 years or whatever.”
Musing on a reunion he added: “I don’t know. I will never completely close my heart to the band, I don’t think any of us will.
“But right now it feels far away from that. Never say never.”
The Bite My Tongue vocalist then confessed: “It’s odd to go out when you know you haven’t peaked yet.
“We still have more to offer as a band, we could’ve made more records. It’s a hard thing to walk away from, but a good thing we aren’t jumping out of a vehicle that’s about to crash.
“There’s no sadness, it’s just a good time.”
Away from the stage, singer Josh previously spoke to The Sun to try and dispel stigma around mental health and talked openly about seeing a therapist.
He told us: “Everyone should talk. If you don’t want to show vulnerability to someone close to you, talking to a therapist is a must, in my opinion. It doesn’t matter how strong you are.”
