Huge superstar to perform at The Brit Awards with Harry Styles and Stormzy

HIS last appearance at The Brit Awards saw Lewis Capaldi heavily censored by telly bosses after he gave an impromptu speech while dishing out a gong to Dua Lipa.

So I would advise them to warm up their bleeping machine, after the Scottish singer was booked to sing at the bash.

Lewis confirmed to me he was the final act to be confirmed as a performer for the Brit Awards on 11 February at London’s O2 Arena.

He said: “Last time I played The Brit Awards I was so scared that I had a panic attack before I went on, and then got hammered afterwards.

“Looking forward to more of the same this year.”

Lewis will be performing alongside stars including, Harry Styles, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, Lizzo, Stormzy, Wet Leg, Cat Burns and David Guetta – who will perform his hit track Crazy What Love Can Do with his collaborators Becky Hill and Ella Henderson.

A source added: “The Brits have got a stellar night of music planned with some of the country’s biggest artists.

“With Lewis you never know what you’re going to get so he will certainly be keeping the crowd – and Brits bosses – on their toes.”

As well as getting up on stage for a song or two, Lewis will be going up against some of his fellow performers in the Best Song category.

His single Forget Me will compete against Harry’s As It Was, Sam and Kim’s Unholy and Cat Burns’ Go for the gong.

Even if Lewis isn’t in the mood to celebrate afterwards, I have no doubt he’ll be one of the liveliest celebs to hit the after parties.

Last year Lewis turned up to Sam Fender’s Greggs bash – which had as many pints as it did pasties.

Although he didn’t attend the ceremony in London, Lew partied hard at the Four Quarters bar in Peckham and was seen kissing Sam’s Brit award – and reality TV star Oobah Butler – as he knocked back drinks.

My team and I are already fearing the hangover on Sunday but no matter how bad our headaches are, we promise to bring you all the biggest and best tales from the night.
