While the quartet from New York City never went out of fashion they had a revival of fortunes this year with the re-release of their 1983 concert film and soundtrack album Stop Making Sense.
Harrison has also been spotlighting one of the band’s previous albums Remain in Light from 1980 with is recreation of the original supporting tour.
That album featured the worldwide hit Once in a Lifetime with other favourites from the band’s back catalogue also aired in the tour – Psycho Killer, Life During Wartime and Take Me to the River.
Asked about what it was like working with the other band members – singer David Byrne, bassist Tina Weymouth and drummer Chris Frantz – after so long, he told 48 Hills: “I have seen and hung out with everybody, so it felt natural.
“Everybody had thought it through and said, ‘Whatever differences we’ve had about other things, this is something that we can all celebrate together, something we’re all proud of.’
“So I don’t think it was that hard for everybody to embrace this moment — and the more we do it, the more comfortable it feels for everybody.”
When asked directly if there was a desire to reform the band, Harrison said: “I would love it if it happens.
“We’re just taking it one step at a time. We’re concentrating on this rerelease.
“There’s also reticence to say, ‘Let’s not start having a discussion or a plan,’ because if someone says, ‘I don’t want to do that,’ that could create negativity that could reflect on the joy right now.

“So, as someone who tries to be responsive to fans, I would love it if it happened. But we’ll have to see.”
Talking Heads formed in 1975 in New York, led by Byrne, and became part of the emerging punk and new wave scene focused around the CBGB’s club in downtown Manhattan, along with other bands that would go on to be famous such as the Ramones, Blondie and Television.
The band would find worldwide fame as they mixed punk with art rock, funk and elements of world music.
After their debut album Talking Heads: 77, they collaborated with Brian Eno on their albums More Songs About Buildings and Food, Fear of Music and Remain in Light which saw them move from being a cult act to widespread popularity.
Their commercial peak came though in 1983 with Burning Down the House, taken from the album Speaking in Tongues.
After their concert film Stop Making Sense, which was directed by Jonathan Demme, they continued being a commercial and critical success with their album Little Creatures in 1985.
The band released their final album Naked in 1988 before disbanding in 1991.
