Currently made up of Matt Skiba (guitar, vocals), Dan Andriano (bass, vocals), and Atom Willard (drums), the Chicago originated group will be rocking out everywhere from Leeds to London, with tour dates in a list of UK cities.
The band, whose name derived from Matt Skiba simply flicking through a dictionary to find a cool word to stick in front of the “Trio”, was founded in 1996 and went on to sell over a million albums.
Matt is well known for serving as the co-lead vocalist and guitarist of Blink-182 from 2015 to 2022.
Alkaline Trio are best known for songs like ‘Stupid Kid’ and ‘Private eye’.
The band shot to fame when they released their debut single ‘Sundials’, in 1997.
Their line-up has changed dramatically over the years, with founding bassist Rob Doran quickly departing from the band after their debut single’s release.
Longtime drummer Derek Grant joined the band in 2003, making his recording debut on the Good Mourning album.
But after twenty years in the band, he handed over his drumsticks to a new member.
Atom Willard was later announced as his replacement.
The upcoming tour comes after the alternative band released their tenth album, ‘Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs’, on January 26, 2024.
Alkaline Trio’s resurgence is sure to shock fans, as they have previously scored multiple world tours and numerous chart successes, meaning their legacy as one of dark punk’s greatest forces is already cemented.
The line-up wrote to their social media after releasing their latest album and penned: “We couldn’t be more excited that our new record ‘Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs’ is finally out in the world.
“We had a great time making it and hope everyone has as good of a time listening to it.”
One fan gushed: “You’ve outdone yourselves! This definitely a “do or die” album. Arguably your best yet!”
Another praised in the comment section: So glad you’re back at it. I missed y’all so much.”
A third added: “Congrats on the new album! Absolute masterpiece! Can’t wait to see you guys out on tour soon!”
