How Many Kids Does Anna Wintour Have and What Is Her Net Worth?

Many called it the end of an era when Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour announced that she was stepping down from the position she’s held for 37 years.

The most powerful woman in fashion, who had been at the helm of American Vogue since 1988, informed her staff of her decision in a morning meeting on June 26. Following the announcement, sources stated that Wintour will retain her position as chief content officer of Vogue’s parent company, Condé Nast. In addition, she will preside as the global editorial director guiding international editions.

Here’s a bit more about Wintour including how many times she been married, how many kids she has. and what her net worth is.

How many children does Wintour have?

Wintour has two children both of whom she shares with her ex-husband, psychiatrist David Shaffer.

They were married in 1984 and divorced 1999, but before they split welcomed their son, Charles Shaffer, in 1985, and their daughter, Katherine “Bee” Shaffer, in 1987. Wintour later wed businessman Shelby Bryan. They parted ways in 2020 and did not have any children together.

Charles attended Oxford University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with a specialization in psychiatry from Columbia University. He is married to his college sweetheart, Elizabeth.

Bee is a producer and previously worked on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. She now serves as a Broadway producer on a number of shows, including The Wiz and The Last Five Years. Bee is married to Francesco Carrozzini, the son of late Franca Sozzani who was Vogue Italia’s editor in chief.

There was some controversy recently among Wintour’s staff when she picked Mark Guiducci to run Vanity Fair. He happens to be very good friends with Bee. Several sources claim that many people who worked for the magazine were infuriated that an “unqualified” Guiducci got the job, calling him a “nepo hire” due to his connection with Wintour’s daughter.

The Met Gala co-chair also has three grandchildren: a grandson named Oliver, and two granddaughters Caroline and Ella Rose. In 2022, Wintour took part in Vogue’s 73 Questions and revealed that the grandkids called her “Anna.”

What is Wintour’s net worth?

During her team meeting, Wintour told the Vogue staffers: “Anybody in a creative field knows how essential it is never to stop growing in one’s work. When I became the editor of Vogue, I was eager to prove to all who might listen that there was a new, exciting way to imagine an American fashion magazine.

“Now, I find that my greatest pleasure is helping the next generation of impassioned editors storm the field with their own ideas, supported by a new, exciting view of what a major media company can be. And that is exactly the kind of person we need to now look for to be HOEC for U.S. Vogue.”

Wintour earned an annual salary of $4 million as the fashion bible’s editor in chief. Today she has an estimated net worth of $50 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.
