How long have Maya Jama and Stormzy been dating?
Stormzy and Maya Jama first got together when he had just hit the big time, and she was a rising star.
They began dating in 2016, when she was 20 and the couple quickly won over the hearts of the public.

But much to the delight of fans, Maya and Stormzy confirmed their relationship was back on in August 2023, when they spotted strolling hand in hand on holiday.
Rumours had swirled throughout 2023 that they had got back together, after they were seen attending the same events.
A source at the time claimed they were back on but were “taking it slow”.
But it wasn’t until December 2023 that Maya went Instagram official with her man.
When did Maya Jama and Stormzy break up?
After four years of dating, the couple split at the end of 2019 quite abruptly.
They were living together, but Maya moved out very quickly after their split.

It happened just a few days after Stormzy attended Maya’s 25th birthday celebrations in East London.
They initially claimed to have ended things on good terms so they could focus on their careers, but Maya unfollowed Stormzy on social media.
Rumours then started circulating that Stormzy had cheated on Maya, something he has always denied.
His song Lessons is thought to be about their split, as the lyrics claim he’d “done the dirt”.
However, the rapper later said: “I didn’t cheat. What I did was a big disrespect, what I did was very inconsiderate.
“It didn’t need to be cheating for it still to be a disrespect. But I thought now is a good time to say I didn’t cheat on my ex.
In 2020, Stormzy opened up about their relationship, and told Charlamagne tha God: “I’ve never loved anyone how I’ve loved her… I would love to be the man who she needs, I would love to do all the things that make this work. I want to marry her, I want to have her children.”
In 2021, Maya admitted to feeling nervous about the public attention surrounding hers and Stormzy’s relationship, and told Vogue: “It makes me nervous about who I’m going to be with next, because if they aren’t in the public eye already, maybe they’re going to be brought into it.
“It’s made me extra careful. I was 20 when I got into that [with Stormzy]. Now life is different. Even social media is bigger. It’s going to be harder to keep things private but I’ll do my best.”

After her romance with Stormzy ended in 2019, Maya had a whirlwind romance with NBA player Ben Simmons.
The pair got together in May 2021 and were engaged by December that year.

“She is not going back to New York now. It’s heartbreaking for both of them, especially as they were so committed to each other.

“She has been hitting the gym a lot and spending time with her good friends.”
