David Caruso is best known for his role on the much-loved show, appearing between 2002 and 2012.

But he was recently spotted looking totally different to his alter-ego while out and about in Los Angeles.

David’s CSI character was known for wearing dapper suits – but recently went for a more casual look as he was picked up from the airport.

The actor opted for a brown T-shirt, denim jacket and light blue trousers.

He hid his face with a pair of sunglasses and a straw hat.

The star, last seen in public back in December 2023, appeared in high spirits and was seen smiling before jumping in an SUV.

David has had a very successful acting career since shooting to fame in the 80s.

He’s arguably best known for his role in the CSI franchise, starring in 232 episodes over 10 seasons before the programme was cancelled due to a fall in ratings.

His alter-ego also appeared in some of the other franchises including CSI and CSI: NY.

David played the part of Detective John Kelly on ABC’s crime drama NYPD Blue between 1993 and 1994 while also appearing in H.E.L.P, Hill Street Blues and Michael Hayes.

His work on the big screen has included films such as Twins, King of New York, First Blood and Proof of Life.

After his stint on CSI, he decided to give up acting and hasn’t been seen on screens since.

Speaking about how popular the franchise was at the time, David told CNN in 2002: “You know, I think it’s an easy trap to fall into if you get hooked by it.

“But the good news is in today’s world of so many options in entertainment, if you’re getting some attention, that’s a positive thing.

“Being a part of the CSI family was so effortless for all of us, it would be great if we could do the show for a while. I’d be very comfortable doing this.”

Since quitting acting, David’s been keeping busy with his own art business.

He has his own gallery in Westlake Village in California.
