Grime artist Terror Danjah who worked with Wiley, Kano & Ghetts dies as tributes pour in to ‘one of the greatest’

ICONIC grime artist Terror Danjah who worked with Wiley, Kano and Ghetts has died, sparking an outpouring of tributes.

A label representative confirmed the news via a family member.

A cause of death and his age have not been given, reports The Guardian.

Though in 2019, Terror, whose real name is Rodney Pryce, is believed to have suffered a stroke, which caused a number of enduring health difficulties.

Emotional tributes have poured in for Grime pioneer Terror.

DJ and broadcaster Logan Sama said: “There are few people throughout my history in music that I have seen reach out, nurture and empower as many emerging artists with the tools to go on to lead successful careers than I did Terror Danjah.

“He truly loved music. He loved people. And I love him.”

Meanwhile, Kevin Martin, the Bug producer, also paid a touching tribute to the “fantastic producer”.

In a moving statement, the artist said Terror was a “big hearted person and criminally underrated outside of grime circles … a positive force, sorely missed.”

MC and television personality Big Zuu described him as a “very kind soul” who “always had time for the mandem”.

He posted to X: “Rest In Peace Terror Danjah a very kind soul who always had time for the mandem and just wanted to see us win. Sending prayers and blessings to your family.”

Terror was the son of Jamaican parents who had a deep love of music, which he said influenced his career.

The grime artist formed Reckless Crew, a music collective in 1998 before venturing into the world of producing in 2001.

He grew up in Forest Gate, East London and said he was inspired by the likes of Public Enemy, Timbaland and soundsystem culture.
