The iconic Scottish band are currently on their Raze The Bar North American Tour which kicked off in January.

Travis were playing at the Showbox in Seattle, Washington, when Fran twisted his ankle stepping off stage while waving goodbye to the crowd.

In a video to fans on the band’s Instagram, he said he was wheeled out on a gurney and put into an ambulance.

Fran admitted that he thought he’d broken his ankle, but said it was a “gnarly sprain”.

He’s now wearing a walking boot to help his ankle, stating “the show must go on”.

Explaining what happened, Fran said: “Hi everyone, it’s Fran here.

“If anyone saw me being wheeled out of the venue last night on a gurney and being put into an ambulance it’s because I seriously twisted my ankle stepping off stage, as I was waving goodbye to everyone, it sort of twisted around back to front.

“We thought it was broken, went to hospital, thankfully it’s just a really gnarly sprain.

“I’ve got one of these massive big space shoes now so when you turn up to Salt Lake City you can all laugh at that.

“The show must go on, we’ll see you there, we’ll see you on the rest of the tour.

“I’m fine, I’m slightly dizzy just now because I’m on some painkillers but apart from that it’s all good.

“Oh and I’m watching Antiques Roadshow, bye.”

The band are set to play Summit in Denver, Colorado tonight.

Fran was previously forced to undergo emergency surgery after a sausage dog attack left him unable to play guitar.

The Scots musician was left with a bloodied wound when the small pet pooch sunk its teeth into him in 2021.
