X FACTOR winner Shayne Ward is the latest star to divert to streaming giant Netflix.
The former Coronation Street actor tells me he has secured a number of high-profile meetings with execs after moving away from writing pop songs and into composing TV scores.

Shayne said: “I have been writing a lot of things to pitch to Netflix for their films and series.
“There will hopefully be a few big things coming out on Netflix soon but I can’t talk about them right now.

“People think if you aren’t releasing your own music, you aren’t working, but I’ve been focusing a lot on my publishing deal over the last few years.
“I have been writing in quite a few different genres.
“I have been trying to write with big film scores in mind.”
Teasing the type of music he has been working on, Shayne added: “I love the Stranger Things sound.
“Eighties synthpop is back with artists like The Weeknd.”
The industry can be a brutal place but if he plays his cards right, Shayne could be on to a winner.
