Former Angel Adriana Lima returns to Victoria’s Secret

An Angel gets her wings (again).

Adriana Lima, Victoria’s Secret’s longest-serving model — she was an Angel from 1999 to 2018 — has returned to the brand as the face of its Heavenly Eau de Parfum ($79).

Both Lima, 41, and Victoria’s Secret announced the news on Instagram Tuesday, writing, “Reunited and it feels so good.”

In a press release, the lingerie brand teased that there’s “more to come throughout the year” from the partnership.

“I’m so excited to be working with Victoria’s Secret again, the brand has always been like family to me,” Lima shared in a statement.

“Being the face of this iconic campaign and fragrance is so special because it beautifully compliments a woman’s radiance, which is symbolic of Victoria’s Secret’s inspiring mission of celebrating every woman. It was amazing being on set again with everyone, and we had the best time bringing this message to life through this timeless fragrance.”

Fans were overjoyed to see the stunning supermodel make her triumphant return to the brand.

“The queen has arrived,” one raved, as another exclaimed, “The icon is back!”

A third nostalgic commenter asked the brand to “bring back the others [sic] legends” like Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Candice Swanepoel.

In March, the brand announced that the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is returning after a four-year hiatus.

The runway spectacle, known for its celebrity musical guests and A-list Angels, paused in 2019 after facing poor ratings and pushback over its lack of racial and body diversity.

During the hiatus, Victoria’s Secret has been making an effort to be more inclusive.

In February 2022, TikTok star Emira D’Spain became the first black transgender model to work with VS.

And Remi Bader, who’s famous for her “realistic” clothing hauls on the app, teamed up with Victoria’s Secret Pink as a size consultant.

Now that the show is making its return, perhaps Lima will don her wings for the big event.
