Fans don’t recognize Shania Twain as she debuts new pink-hair look ahead of Vegas residency: ‘Who is she?’

That don’t impress them much.

Fans are confused by Shania Twain’s new pink-hair look, which she debuted on Instagram Wednesday ahead of her latest Las Vegas residency, “Come On Over.”

“I love this outtake from the @hauteliving cover shoot because you can FEEL how much fun I was having 💅 Expect me to be coloring my hair, doing what I dare in Vegas, sorry not sorry!!” the singer-songwriter, 58, captioned the close-up shot, which showed her flashing an open-mouthed grin as her rose-colored locks cascaded down her clavicle.

Excited as she may be about the upcoming concerts, which kick off Friday at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Bakkt Theater, one of many critics commented beneath her cheery snap, “Who is she?”

“Been a fan for years, had no idea who this was,” someone else remarked, as another added, “That picture does not even come close to looking like you.”

“I love shania but she’s unrecognisable [sic] in this pic,” a fourth netizen wrote, which was followed by, “Is that her?! I literally would have never known.”

Aside from sporting a wig over her naturally brunette tresses, some social media users hypothesized that Twain might have also gotten a “new mouth and teeth,” with others deeming her a sellout for seemingly choosing to not “age gracefully.”

But a few showered the musician with praise, as one person gushed, “i LOVE the pink on you!!” and another penned in response to her caption, “Yes indeed!!!! Life on your OWN terms!!! So excited to see you soon on stage! We love you @shaniatwain.”

It seems Twain’s updated appearance is reflective of her third Sin City residency, as she told Haute Living last month that the show’s “visuals will be fresh” and “there will be a modern esthetic in contrast to the music.”

“I’m definitely going to focus on fashion for the upcoming shows. It will be a different wardrobe than anyone has ever seen, but it’s also an entirely different show from anything I’ve done before,” she said, making sure to note that her cotton candy headpiece will be rearing its pretty head.

“It’s funny — the reason that I even experimented with [the pink] was because I’m going grey,” she shared with the publication. “And now I’m thinking that when I’m entirely grey, maybe I should just dye my hair at that point and rock the pink.”

She continued, “It’s the way I feel when I have that color on. It makes me feel youthful. I don’t need to look younger in my own mind — it’s not a goal of mine — but I do like to feel refreshed, and the pink hair does that. It’s awesome.”

The songstress went on to say that she’s becoming “less and less inhibited” as she ages and that she enjoys “being fearless.”

“Nothing really scares me,” she explained. “I’m not worried about wearing a hair color and not pulling it off. I’m not worried about the backlash… even in my own mirror. There’s no wrong thing to experiment with. You’ve just got to have fun — and being playful makes me feel more youthful.”
