Brittney Sobel is about to receive quite the financial filler.
Famed New York City dermatologist Dr. Howard Sobel lost his bid to delay paying his estranged wife $25,000 per month in child support, the judgment obtained by Page Six reveals.
A judge denied the motion on Aug. 31 after “reading and filing the papers with respect to the motion, and due deliberation,” the document states.
A rep for Howard didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
As Page Six exclusively reported in early August, Brittney first filed for divorce on May 1, but the case moved to an appellate court because Howard was fighting to delay having to pay $25,000 per month in interim child support for their daughter.
Brittney, who is an attorney, claimed in previously filed court documents that the former plastic surgeon’s appeal was meant to punish her.

“The fact is that Dr. Sobel’s challenge to [the judge’s] interim relief is not about injustice or affordability,” stated the documents filed on July 14.
“It is about an abusive and controlling husband refusing to accept a court requiring him to support his child in a manner consistent with the child’s lifestyle and inconsistent with his desire to punish Ms. Sobel.”
In his filed response, Howard claimed he was “unable” to afford the $25,000-a-month child support order because he was already paying $150,000 annually in spousal support to his ex-wife, Gayle Perry, as well as child support for their two children.

Following Page Six’s report on Howard and Brittney’s divorce, a rep for the estranged couple told Page Six, “[They] are working together to try to resolve the issues of their marriage amicably. They politely ask for privacy for their family at this time.”

The acrimonious divorce hasn’t stopped the celebrity derm from hitting the social scene, as eyewitnesses told Page Six last month that Howard was already “chatting up women” at the Northwell Health Katz Institute for Women’s Health event.

“He’s the hot new bachelor on the Hamptons scene,” one witness said of Sobel — whom Brittney also accused of being an “abusive and controlling husband” in court papers, though he’s denied the claims.
“I saw him get a woman’s phone number.”

But Howard — whose clients have included “Real Housewives” stars Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer — denied he was flirting with anyone, telling us, “I’m not in the mood to be chatting up women right now,” and said the woman in question merely wanted medical advice.
“I handed my card to someone who wanted to come into the office,” he shared, adding that he only got up from his chair “once.”
“I was home at 9:30 pm. That’s not exactly a guy looking to meet women. Everyone was talking to everyone. I talked to a woman I knew and one I didn’t know.”
