Emma Roberts and her boyfriend of two years, actor Cody John, are engaged.
“putting this here before my mom tells everyone,” the actress, 33, cheekily captioned an Instagram photo announcing the news Tuesday, adding a red heart emoji.
In the selfie, Roberts smiled and held up her left hand near her face to show off her new bling: a large, round diamond set atop a gold band.
She had her other arm around John, who also flashed the camera a big grin.
Famous friends were quick to flood the comments section with congratulatory messages.
“Congrats!!!!!!!” Lindsay Lohan remarked.
“CONGRATS!!!” Ashley Tisdale wrote.
“Yesssss congratulations darling,” Julianne Hough exclaimed.
News of the couple’s romance broke in August 2022 when John posted a photo of him kissing Roberts.
Less than two months later, E! News reported that the “American Horror Story” star and her beau were “taking it slow” after mutual friends in the industry had introduced them.
“Emma loves Cody’s personality,” a source told the outlet at the time. “He’s really funny, and they have been having a good time together.”
Roberts — who shares 3-year-old son Rhodes with her ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund — reportedly did not want to rush into another relationship for her child’s sake.
“Emma is cautious about bringing her son around new people but knows the day will come soon,” the source explained.
Roberts and Hedlund, 39, broke up in late 2021 after almost three years together.
“It’s sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent,” an insider told People in January 2022. “It’s been hard.”
Roberts was previously engaged to her “AHS” co-star Evan Peters, whom she dated on and off for seven years before calling it quits for good in March 2019.
