Here’s what the Duchess of Sussex said that got a response from the Mistress of the Dark.
Meghan Markle recently released the final episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, but managed to upset the Mistress of the Dark with something she said in one episode.
Meghan’s podcast consisted of eight episodes in which she spoke with women who started their own businesses about “turning their entrepreneurial dreams into a reality” and “what really happens behind the scenes.”
During episode three with guest Highbrow Hippie founder Kadi Lee, the former Suits star talked about coloring her hair herself with box dyes during the Covid-19 pandemic, saying: “So, my family had just moved to California. We were staying in our friend’s home. And because it was the pandemic, I kept ordering boxed hair dye. And I thought, ‘I’m gonna look just like she does on the box. And instead, it was this very inky, almost Elvira-esque black hair.”
Elvira didn’t seem to appreciate Meghan’s shot at her and after hearing about it she took to Instagram with a message for Prince Harry’s wife.
Elvira, whose real name is Cassandra Peterson, shared a screenshot of a tabloid’s headline about Meghan’s comment and captioned it: “Hey princess, if you ever need beauty advice from a queen just let me know.”
Many of those reacting to post were on Team Elvira writing, “Elvira … will always be a lot more BEAUTIFUL then [sic] Meghan could ever wish she could be” and “[Meghan] doesn’t hold a candle to Elvira.”
Others chimed with, “Elvira is the queen of cool. Markle is as interesting as potato flake” and “She wishes she even came close to the queen of the macabre.”
