Ellie Goulding making intimate documentary about her life as she allows cameras into home studio for first time ever

ELLIE Goulding is the latest star to sign up to record a documentary about her career.

The Sun can reveal the Love Me Like You Do singer has secretly invited cameras into her life and has already begun filming for the as of yet untitled project.

Ellie, who has previously been involved in the UN’s One Young World campaign, hopes to use the special to highlight her work away from the studio in her battle against global warming.

A source said: “Ellie is keen to let fans into her world and speak beyond her music.

“Earlier this year she invited cameras to record her life away from red carpets and show the real her.

“Obviously the project will cover her music and time in the studio which she has built at home but Ellie also wants to shine a greater light on her work as a climate change activist.

“She is really passionate about using her profile for good and thinks a documentary will do just that.”

In recent years more and more stars have turned to streaming giants to let fans see the real them.

This year alone KSI, LEwis Capaldi and U2 have all dropped documentaries – with the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry also releasing feature-style specials about their lives on the road.

After taking time away from the spotlight, Ellie’s career is better than ever after landing the chart double thanks to her Calvin Harris collaboration Miracle and her long-awaited fifth album Higher Than Heaven both topping the charts this month.

Chatting about working with Calvin for the third time, Ellie admitted she is planning on joining the Scottish DJ in Ibiza as part of his monster residency at outdoor super club Ushuaia.

She said: “I’ve already invited myself out there! I’ve decided I’m going to force myself onto the stage to sing live with him. I love Ibiza, It’s a perfect excuse for a holiday.”

Rather than hitting the booze when they are on the White Isle, Ellie admits she and Calvin prefer shots of wheatgrass over shots of Sambuca when they meet up.

Ellie added: “Calvin is extremely healthy and when we were in the studio we found ourselves talking more about Sea Moss and the power of mushrooms than booze.

“It’s hard to keep up that kind of lifestyle if you’re drinking and staying out late.”
