Ellen, 66, revealed only a few starting dates but then kept adding more due to popular demand.
By the end of May, the comedian had over 20 cities on her tour list.
That same month, People revealed that it would be fans’ “last opportunity” to see Ellen in her “final curtain call” and would “reintroduce her trademark wit and laughter-inducing anecdotes” to her audiences.
However, unlucky fans wouldn’t be able to see her perform as Ticketmaster revealed that four upcoming shows have been canceled.
Ellen has canceled her shows in Dallas on July 10, San Francisco on July 20, Seattle on July 22, and Chicago on August 11.
However, the other Chicago show on the 10th is still seemingly happening.
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” the company’s statement read.
It continued, “You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer.
“It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”
No word yet on the shows between those dates.
Despite the refund, fans were outraged by the last-minute decision.
“I bought tickets to the Dallas show and you’re just not telling fans why you canceled last minute? We deserve an explanation the least you can do,” one unamused fan wrote on Ellen’s recent Instagram post.
THE BACKLASH
In the summer of 2020, Ellen faced claims of a toxic work environment from both former staff and visitors.
At the time, they denounced her sunny image and revealed that behind the scenes, she was a different person.
In an interview with BuzzFeed News, they interviewed several past and then-present employees.
Sometimes I get sad. I get mad. I get anxious. I get frustrated. I get impatient. And I am working on all of that.

Staff claimed that they were fired because they took medical leave or bereavement days to attend family funerals.
Meanwhile, others alleged that they were told by their managers not to talk to Ellen if they saw her.
A Black woman came forward to share her story of the alleged “racist comments, actions, and microaggressions” she faced as an employee.
She said one of the main writers told her, “I’m sorry, I only know the names of the white people who work here.”
HER APOLOGY
Months after the allegations, the Finding Dory star addressed the elephant in the room at the beginning of her show monologue.
“If you’re watching because you love me, thank you,” she started.
“If you’re watching because you don’t love me, welcome. As you may have heard, this summer there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show and then there was an investigation.
“Being known as the be-kind lady is a tricky position to be in […] The truth is I am that person that you see on TV, I am also a lot of other things.
“Sometimes I get sad. I get mad. I get anxious. I get frustrated. I get impatient. And I am working on all of that.”
The final episode of the daytime TV show aired on May 26, 2022.
