WEEKEND At Bernie’s star Catherine Mary Stewart left fans dazzled on Instagram with a new picture showing she has barely aged in 35 years.
In new headshots posted onto her Instagram, Catherine, 64, was seen beaming as she posed for pics.
Fans were delighted to see how well she looked, saying she’s ‘still got it’.
“Still crushing after all these years,” wrote one fan, while another declared her their “All time crush.”
“Still beautiful. I had it bad for her in the 80s,” added a third.
“Nothing’s changed,” said another. “More beautiful than ever.”
The 1988 comedy, led by Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman, has become one of the most defining movies of the 80s – with Catherine’s character Gwen stealing the hearts of the teen boys watching.
The film follows two young insurance agents, Larry and Richard, whose chance to spend the weekend in the Hamptons is ruined when, as they arrive, they discover their boss Bernie dead.
Deciding to pretend he’s alive in order to swerve suspicion they’re implicated in his murder, things go from bad to worse when assassins start coming for them.
Gwen is an intern at the company with a flirty relationship with Richard, who gets unwittingly drawn into their plans.
The film became such a hit due to its whacky premise – that included the man using Bernie like a puppet in order to make it appear his corpse was moving – that comedies including Friends, How I Met Your Mother, American Dad and Bob’s Burgers have referenced it.
Forward 35 years later, and Catherine is still actively working as an actress.
She has appeared in classics including Days Of Our Lives, Law and Order, New Amsterdam and White Collar.
Catherine also makes frequent appearances on podcast, reflecting on her career in the industry.
