EASTENDERS legend Rita Simons has revealed she’s in talks to join a rival soap after her Albert Square comeback.
The actress, who reprised her role as Roxy Mitchell last night in emotional scenes, confirmed on today’s Good Morning Britain another drama has been in touch.

GMB host Adil Ray suggested the soap in question was Coronation Street, though Rita would not confirm that was the case.
She did, however, do a brief Manchester accent that would fit right in on the cobbles, cheekily exclaiming: “I’m not telling ya.”
She then said: “All I can say is I’ve left it so the fans finally understand Roxy may not be dead so in the future who knows, but right now, I’m really having a lovely time, not there, and potentially going somewhere else.”
The Walford icon, whose character drowned alongside sister Ronnie in 2017, reappeared last night as a figment of daughter Amy’s imagination as she continues struggling with her mental health.

In the scenes, set during a family therapy session, Amy was asked what she would say to her late mum if she was around – to which she responded: “Did you ever really love me?”

Roxy appeared next to her and said: “Yes, my baby, yeah. With all of my heart.”
She then told Amy she was “right here” as she gently pushed against her necklace that fell above her heart.
Amy struggled to convey her emotions and asked her mum if she was enough.
Roxy told her: “You are, you were the one thing that I had, the one good thing.
“I was fighting for you!”
The emotional scenes left viewers in tears and they have begged BBC bosses to bring her back permanently.
Writing on Twitter, one fan said: “I don’t give a s***e if it would be the most ridiculous storyline ever and I don’t care how they do it, EastEnders need to bring Ronnie and Roxy back.”
Another added: “I think they’re testing the waters here but I promise, nobody cares how ridiculous the storyline has to be, feed us whatever bulls*** you want, we’ll overlook it and lap it up! Just bring back Ronnie & Roxy.”
A third commented: “Everyone seemed perfectly happy to accept Jesus coming back from the dead so surely we can do the same for Ronnie & Roxy?!”
