EASTENDERS favourite Natalie Cassidy was on hand to rush to her nephew’s aid after he collapsed following the London Marathon – and ended up in a “body bag.”
The BBC One show star – who recently quit the long-running soap – was putting her spare time to good use as she proved Dom Cassidy’s biggest cheerleader.

Natalie’s relative completed his epic feat in the UK heat in less than four hours.
Yet things quickly turned and, at mile 23, he told how he started to “feel my eyes go a little bit” before his knee went at mile 24.
He told the Sonia Fowler actress’s podcast, Life With Nat, of his ordeal.
He said: “I don’t know how far out maybe around half a mile I remember my eyes rolled back to my head and I pretty much collapsed on someone next to me.

“The last thing I can remember I just said I need to finish this race.
“Then I woke up in a body bag full of ice in the emergency tents at the marathon.
“That’s it, the doctor was there.”
Dom then told how he was unable to remember his name or date of birth in in the emergency tent.
He was then in a “delirious” state after being whisked to Harlow Hospital.
On her Instagram page, Natalie, 41, told how she was on hand to deliver nine chicken nuggets and a Big Mac.
She uploaded a snap showing them in the medical ward, with drips attached to Dom’s arm.
In her caption, she wrote: “Meet my nephew Dom. He ran the marathon for the first time last Sunday.
“He did it in 3 hours and 56 minutes and he loved every bit of it. Well almost. He ended up in hospital. This was us Sunday night about half 10 after I’d delivered him a Big Mac and Coke.”
She added: “His gorgeous wife Annalisa and two beautiful children are shining with pride. His sisters @natsnieces are so so proud and his mum @linnycass called you her hero.
EastEnders stars who QUIT

MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year?
The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year.
Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998.
Yet what about the 2024 exits?
Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had “quit” the long-running series.
It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen.
Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford.
Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would “quit out of boredom” over recent storylines.
Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame.
One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky.
He played Stacey Slater’s brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel.
Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay’s Netflix movie 6 Underground.
Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005.
She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008.
“Smashed it. But take it easy next time geez. Come and do it next year at my pace.”
Natalie has completed two marathons, back in 2019 and 2023.
For her first feat, she tackled the gruelling course in when raising money in late soap co-star Barbara Windsor’s name.
Their Barbara’s Revolutionaries team raised more than £100,000 for Alzheimer’s charities at the time, after the Peggy Mitchell legend was diagnosed with the disease.
Meanwhile, Natalie told EastEnders bosses of her decision to leave the hit BBC One soap last summer.
She recently told how a huge scene was cut from her exit.
