Speaking on he podcast, Life With Nat, she shared: “Joanie will be 9 in August and over the last week, something has changed.
“She’s very argumentative, very, very moody and last night she decided to get a pair of scissors and cut her favorite trousers, just a little slit in them.
“Firstly I was annoyed because she had scissors without me, which isn’t very good.
“And then she cut a hole in the back of her trousers on her bottom and then proceeded to come into the kitchen screaming, ‘these are my favorite trousers, these are my favorite trousers’ for about 15 minutes.
Continuing with the story, Natalie said: “I was ironing and I was very calm and I just said, ‘Joanie, I’ve not done it, I don’t know why you’re shouting at me.’
“And she just kept going on and on, ‘These are my favorite trousers.’
“She chucked a load of ironing on the floor like proper a really bad tantrum.”
Wanting to try and find out what was going on with her little girl, Natalie did some investigating.
“So I decided to have a look at why my 8 year old is having a meltdown as you do on Google,” she said.
“And it is, it is when hormones start to kick in. They can kick in between 6 and 8 the beginnings of it.

“I really feel like this because when they’re 8, they’re a big kid.
“So they want to dominate, they want to test you. They’re quite moody.
“So they want to dominate, they want to test you. They’re quite moody. But at the same time, they’re still little and want the cuddles.
“So I’m finding this week quite stressful actually.”

QUITTING EASTENDERS
Natalie has got plenty of time to spend with her family now that she has quit EastEnders.
Earlier this year, she issued a statement which revealed she was leaving Albert Square behind.
“I feel extremely sad to be writing this, but also very excited,” the actress told fans in January.
“After another 11 solid years back on The Square, I have decided it’s time to move on to pastures new.
“EastEnders is in my bones so I will never forget where I started my career and I will continue to love the show.”
However, The Sun revealed how the Sonia Fowler actress is already planning her return to Albert Square.
The much-loved star issued a warning to show bosses in case they are thinking of replacing her with a new actress in the meantime.
She said: “If they recast Sonia, I’m going to Borehamwood [where the show is shot] with a sledgehammer.
“I feel very protective about Sonia.
“She could die off screen, though.
“We could be watching it one night and you know the old phone call: Cathy runs in saying, ‘Ian, I’ve just had a message, Sonia’s dead’.
“That could easily happen.
“But I do hope, like for the 50th anniversary, that I could pop back.”
