Devin Strader has responded to the published police report that paints him as a dangerous and violent man. Someone from his past has stepped forward.
Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette didn’t end the way anyone thought it would. Tran initially picked Devin Strader, and while the couple left filming engaged, things went bad quickly. They ended their engagement before the finale aired. During the verbal back-and-forth between the former flames, it was revealed that Devin Strader has a dark and violent past, complete with an arrest, a restraining order filed against him, and allegations of domestic violence. Strader has now spoken out, denying all claims. Those who knew him back then aren’t letting him off the hook, though.

Earlier this week, Reality Steve revealed that Devin Strader had a significant run-in with the law in 2017. According to obtained police reports, Strader’s ex-girlfriend filed for a restraining order after the then-college student broke into her home, destroyed her property, and threatened her friends and family. The anonymous woman also reported several incidents of domestic violence.
It took a few days, but Devin Strader finally broke his silence on the matter. In a statement posted to Instagram, Strader called his college year a “dark time.” In his statement, Strader claimed that the restraining order was “never granted” and that he grew and learned from his “first relationship.” Strader insisted that he and his college ex-girlfriend had reconnected following the temporary restraining order and then parted ways on “good terms.” While the lengthy statement was surely meant to downplay his behavior, no one believes him. People from his past are stepping forward to call him out.
A friend of Devin Strader’s victim has come forward
The more Strader speaks out, the more past troubles surface. After Strader posted his statement on Instagram, he was largely criticized by fans of The Bachelorette. That isn’t his biggest issue, though. People from his past are also coming forward. A friend of Strader’s victim has offered their commentary on the situation.
A friend of Strader’s ex-girlfriend said that he couldn’t stand by while Strader attempted to discredit his victim. While the pal did not delve into the incidents outlined in the arrest record too deeply, they did note that Devin Strader burned the restraining order in front of his ex-girlfriend’s place of residence.
The friend indicated that Strader’s ex-girlfriend was traumatized by the situation in 2017 and labeled Strader dangerous and a pathological liar. While Reality Steve shared the statement on his podcast and Twitter account, he did not name the friend. Strader’s ex-girlfriend’s name is being withheld, as well.
