Quoting his six-year-old son, Jamie wrote on Instagram: “The Green Room, The goodest cafe in town….OPEN TODAY!!”
The quaint cafe has already been praised by punters for its welcoming atmosphere and many more have vowed to pay it a visit.
One fan commented: “Oh wow! Amazing, congrats to both of you it looks lovely x.”
A happy customer said: “Salad and coffee were delicious!! Well done on creating a lovely and welcoming place to come!”

Another follower wrote: “Looks gorgeous! Best of luck.”
Former Peaky Blinders star Jamie first stepped onto the cobbles as Phill Whittaker in July 2021, and his character fell head over heels in love with Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) at the Furniture Shop.

But after just one drama-filled year, Jamie told fans that his time on the show had come to an end.
Last summer, he said in an Instagram video recorded on the cobbles: “The modern day Jack and Vera are reunited and I feels so honoured to have played my part in that.
“Jennie [McAlpine] and Alan [Halsall] are the best people to work with. I’ve had an absolute blast. I love this place. I love this show.
“What a ride it’s been for Big Phill with two L’s.”
Teasing a potential return, he concluded: “Who knows? Maybe it isn’t the end. Maybe they’ll bring him back but for now it’s a massive goodbye from me.”
Phill’s marriage to Fiz was incredibly short-lived and she soon found her way back into the arms of ex Tyrone Dobbs.
Despite his threats to drag out a divorce as revenge for the heartbreak she’d caused him, Phill ended up giving Fiz what she wanted.
He then fled the Street to start a fresh life elsewhere, unable to live near Fiz as she moved on with Tyrone.
