COLEEN Rooney will reveal the “inside story” of her legal battle with Rebekah Vardy – in an explosive new book.
The case dates back to 2019 when Vardy sued Rooney for libel after being accused of leaking stories about her to the media.

Written in her own words, the book titled My Account takes an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the reality of a life lived under the public eye.
In a press release, Penguin Michael Joseph, the book’s publisher, stated the book promises to “reveal the inside story of her legal battle with Rebekah Vardy, as well as offering a full account of her life to date: from childhood and her marriage to Wayne Rooney, all the way through to motherhood”.
He continued: “Coleen has been a figure of fascination and popularity since first being photographed aged 16 as the then-girlfriend of Wayne Rooney.
“Coleen’s career has included work as a columnist and presenter, but she has first and foremost been a hands-on mother to her and Wayne’s four sons.
“After her now infamous Twitter post in October 2019, in which she claimed that stories about her personal life were being leaked to the press through her private Instagram account, Coleen became embroiled in a highly public dispute with Rebekah Vardy, wife to footballer Jamie Vardy, which culminated in a High Court hearing for libel, in which she was fully vindicated.”
Speaking of her upcoming book, which will be released on November 9, Rooney said it is an opportunity to tell “my story in my way from beginning to end”.

“My highs and lows, triumphs and sad moments – and a few good laughs between the lines,” she said.
The war of the WAGs first began when Rooney sensationally turned into a secret investigator to uncover a friend who was telling tales to the media.
In October 2019 she posted a now-infamous tweet, ending it with the jaw-dropping line: “It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account”.
Vardy sued Rooney for libel, denying she was the media source. But the judge, Mrs Justice Steyn, ruled in Rooney’s favour in July 2022.
Since the trial ended, both Rooney and Vardy have been basking in the publicity of its high-profile status.
Along with her book, Rooney is also set to release a three-part documentary on Disney+ later this year which will document the fall-out.
However, it looks like Vardy is ready to put the past behind her and move on with her life.
Last month Vardy clapped back at fans commenting on her Instagram post referring to the scandal and said it’s time to “move on – I don’t care”.
As she posted a bikini snap from a holiday, she took to the comments section of Instagram to have her say.
Replying to one fan who referenced the case, she wrote: “What I don’t get why you would want to keep bringing it up.
“It’s boring now! The public doesn’t care and neither do I. She won that’s the end of it! Be happy and move on… because I know I have.”
