Cindy Morgan, ‘Caddyshack’ and ‘Tron’ actress, dead at 69

Cindy Morgan, best known for her breakout role in the 1980 film “Caddyshack”, has died at age 69.

Morgan died at her home in Lake Worth Beach, Fla., according to TMZ, who was first to report the news.

Per the outlet, Morgan’s roommate came home from a trip on Dec. 30, 2023 and knocked on her bedroom door to no response.

She smelled a strong odor coming from the room and called the cops, who pronounced her dead at the scene.

Her roommate last saw her alive on Dec. 19.

Foul play is not suspected, and a rep from the county told TMZ she died from “natural causes.”

Morgan played blond bombshell Lacey Underall in “Cadyshack” opposite with Chevy Chase and Bill Murray.

“Caddyshack was my first film and I’ll say that the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddie,” she recalled in a 2012 MegaCon Orlando interview.

Morgan was also known for playing two characters in 1982’s “Tron:” Lora, a computer programmer, and Yori, her alter-ego.

In addition to her movie credits, she appeared in numerous television shows, such as “Falcon Crest,” “Matlock” and “Hunter.”

Her last film credit, per IMDb, was in 2022’s “Face of the Trinity,” in which she voiced the main character’s mother.

She did not appear to have any upcoming projects at the time of her death.

Born Cynthia Ann Cichorski in Chicago, Ill., she attended Northern Illinois University before pursuing her acting dreams, per the Chicago Tribune.

Her first onscreen gig occurred in Irish Spring commercials.

Aside from her Hollywood endeavors, she dedicated some of her time to raising money for veterans of the U.S. Military and the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund.

Her father was a Polish immigrant who lied about his age to fight with the US in World War 2.

In addition to acting and raising money for military families, Morgan was an animal lover and enjoyed exercising at the gym.
