Christina Haack Reacts to the End of ‘Christina on the Coast’: ‘Canceled Looks Good on Me’ 

Christina Haack is not letting recent setbacks keep her down. 

On Sunday, the HGTV star took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos of herself, her three kids, and her boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, spending time together. 

“Summer so far,” she captioned the post. “Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me…. Only kidding only kidding.”

Haack was apparently referring to the recent news that HGTV had not renewed her series, Christina on the Coast. The show, which premiered in 2019, is one of several that the network has reportedly canceled in recent weeks.

Also on the cancellation list was The Flipping El Moussas, which stars Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. The hosts of Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It, and Bargain Block have also shared on social media that their shows have been canceled. 

On Christina’s Instagram, her fans expressed shock that Christina on the Coast had been canceled. 

“I don’t understand HGTV at all,” one wrote. “They’re taking off so many good shows and leaving crap on. I’ll miss you!”

“So sad you are canceled,” another commented. “Your show was amazing, and it was nice to see how the kids are growing up, too. Your design is outstanding.”

Will there be a ‘The Flip Off’ Season 2? 

While Christina on the Coast has come to an end, Christina might still have a future at HGTV. Earlier this year, she, Tarek, and Heather starred in the new series The Flip Off, in which they competed to see who could pull off the most valuable real estate flip. It was HGTV’s highest-rated freshman series among adults 25-54 since 2022, attracting nearly 14 million total viewers across linear and streaming. 

While The Flip Off has not officially been renewed, its stars have hinted they’d be eager to return for season 2. And a source recently told People that the show would be back with more episodes. 

In May, Heather suggested a rematch where she and Christina teamed up against Tarek. 

“Should we put Tarek’s ‘King of Flipping’ complex to the test?” she wrote on Instagram. “Season 2 Flip Off with flipped teams… who do you think would win?!”

Christina lost The Flip Off Season 1 after she had to compete solo against Tarek and Heather following her split from ex-husband Josh Hall. In the finale, she said she was eager to get a second chance to prove she was the better flipper 

“I absolutely want a rematch,” she said. “I want revenge, and I will win the next round.”
