‘The Flip Off’ star is ready to ‘focus on what’s ahead’ following the end of her third marriage.
Christina Haack’s messy divorce is officially behind her. On Thursday, the HGTV star took to social media to thank her divorce attorney and celebrate the end of her marriage to ex-husband Josh Hall.
Christina Haack ‘learned so much’ from her divorce lawyer
Christina, 41, split from her third husband in July 2024. The divorce was contentious, with the Flip or Flop star saying earlier this year that her ex was refusing mediation and that they were likely headed to trial.
But Christina’s fear that she and her former husband would end up in court did not come to pass. On May 1, the mom of three shared in an Instagram Story update that the marriage was officially dissolved. She thanked her attorney, celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser – whom she called “the disso queen” – for help navigating the fraught divorce process. Wasser is known for handling many high-profile splits. Her clients have included Kevin Costner, Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, and Johnny Depp.
“You are all a true class act,” Christina wrote. “I loved watching you in action and how you handle everything and everyone with class and grace… I appreciate you all beyond words. I have learned so much under your guidance.”
“I’m grateful to have this behind me,” the Flip or Flop star added. “I can’t wait to move on with my life and focus on what’s ahead and all my blessings.”
A rep for Christina confirmed to Us Weekly that she and Josh had settled their divorce through mediation.
Christina says ex-husband Josh Hall had ‘negative energy’
Christina and Josh married in April 2022 after a whirlwind romance and called it quits a little over two years later. The end of their marriage played out in the early episodes of Chrstina’s newest HGTV show, The Flip Off, which was supposed to follow her and Josh in a home renovation contest with Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his new wife Heather Rae El Moussa. Christina ended up competing on her own after she and Josh broke up midway through filming.
In a recent episode of Christina on the Coast, Christina opened up about feeling that a “weight” had been lifted from her shoulders following the end of her brief marriage.
“Everyone’s just doing better since he’s gone,” she said. “Just all that negative energy. I truly tried to make that work and tried to give him the self-help tools, tried to keep him busy and tried to say, ‘Why don’t we start flipping houses?’ and all those things. No matter what, you can’t make someone else happy. They can only make themselves happy.”
Christina is now dating Orange County businessman Chris LaRocca. He recently joined her on the red carpet for the The Flip Off For Your Consideration Emmy event in Los Angeles. She shared a photo of the pair at the April 30 screening on Instagram.
