CHERYL has landed a huge £100,000 deal for her West End debut, and will bag £1k a night.

The 39-year-old brunette beauty was recently unveiled as the actress who’ll play Jenny – the leading lady in West End show 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Cheryl follows the likes of Lily Allen, Laura Whitmore and Giovanna Fletcher by securing the role.

And the Fight For This Love singer is “so excited” to take on the part, which is hardly surprising given the eye-watering pay cheque she’ll be handed.

Cheryl will take part in 106 shows and an industry booker has revealed: “Cheryl is getting around £1,000 a show.”

They added: ““The deal is £100,000 but will also be linked to ticket sales so if she helps shift around 80% of seats then she’ll be entitled to more money on top of that.”

The star will certainly be busy, appearing in up to eight shows a week in a run that begins on 21 January and ends in April, at the Criterion Theatre.

Discussing her excitement about the spooky thriller, she said: “I am SO excited to be starring in the West End thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story. I will be playing the role of Jenny from January to April!

“I went to see the show with a previous cast and LOVED IT!

“It is a totally new and exciting experience for me, so if you’re looking for a fun night out and some entertainment in your new year, tickets are available now  . . .whenever you’re ready.”

The role sees Cheryl’s character living in a new home which she believes is haunted.

She will make her stage debut alongside People Just Do Nothing’s Hugo Chegwin as Ben, Horrible Histories actress Louise Ford as Lauren and theatre star Scott Karim as Sam.

But not everyone is happy and have questioned if the role could have gone to a trained actor instead.

One upset theatre goer tweeted: “Such a shame … A lot of talented trained actresses out there. And then you get her ..getting the part with no experience what so ever.”

Another remarked: “All those amazing actors who they could have given the role to. Instead, they give it to some ‘celeb’ who has no acting experience. She might be good, who knows, but if she wants to be an actor, she should start out with amdram.”

“Stunt casting!!!! I would see it again with Cheryl in it and I’m sure she’ll be good. But there’s so many actors who have poured so much money and effort into preparing for roles like this and deserve to not be overlooked,” said someone else.

Others were more excited at the prospect though and rushed to book tickets.
