Cher wishes she could show her late mother, Georgia Holt, the massive sparkler she received from her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards.
“Woke up Min ago,& 1st thing …B4 I Opened my eyes,I Thought…I Need 2 Run To Moms & Show Her my ring…’she Loves Diamonds,’” the “Believe” singer tweeted on Monday.
“Before I realized it..I Had Little Tear,But Im sure this is natural,” she continued. “Bet Moms ears were burning Last Nite.We were telling Stories about her,WHAT A WOMAN.”
In a separate tweet, Cher noted, “Ok ..a few tears.”
Holt, an actress and singer, died on Dec. 10 at age 96.
Cher, 76, made headlines on Christmas Day when she showed off the jewelry that Edwards, 36, gave her, which sparked engagement rumors.
“THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E,” she tweeted alongside a photo of the record producer holding a ring box.
The Grammy winner later clarified to her fans that she posted the picture because Edwards’ “nails are so cool,” referencing his black manicure with green flame details.

Although Twitter users freaked over the possible milestone, Cher has yet to explicitly confirm or deny that Edwards proposed.
She did, however, hit back at a hater who called her much-younger partner “wild” for possibly getting down on one knee “in a matter of months” after he admitted to cheating on ex Amber Rose last year.

“Baby,from my heart,Neither one of us wanted to Take Long Flt To Paris,Neither one Was looking for someone, Give U my word,” Cher replied.
The Goddess of Pop has defended their relationship multiple times since going public with Edwards in November.
“On paper, it’s kind of ridiculous,” she told Kelly Clarkson earlier this month. “But in real life, we get along great. … And I think he’s quite handsome.”
Cher, who previously wed Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman in 1964 and 1975, respectively, also recently tweeted that she and Edwards kiss “like teenagers.”
