The 26-year-old, from Derbyshire, is currently representing Britain by competing to become the 71st Miss Universe.

This year’s event is being held in New Orleans, USA, with the finals judged later today.

Speaking of becoming Miss Universe GB last summer, she said: “It felt beyond my wildest dreams.”

Previous winners of the competition, now in its 71st year, have gone on to become leaders in medicine, politics, and business, among other achievements.

The favorites to win include Miss USA, a fashion designer, and Miss Puerto Rico, who aspires to work for Nasa.

The winner will be crowned by the 70th Miss Universe — Bollywood actress Harnaaz Sandhu of India.
