Despite a secret plan to turn his fortunes around, we can share how liquidators are now reporting £1.8 million worth of fresh business debt for the Karma Chameleon vocalist.

Run-up at live music firm Other Places Drama, the debts come on top of the £11.3million owed by Mispocha Touring which has also gone bust.

A Progress Report for Other Places Drama has revealed the bulk of debt – some £1.75million – as being owed to Jonathan Moss.

The former Culture Club drummer – who was Boy George’s lover back in 1981 when the band was formed – successfully sued the group at the High Court after being expelled by the band.

The document filed at Companies House has now reported three other debtors.

In addition to Moss, Canada Revenue Service is reported as being owned £40,312, New Bond Street Registrars £373 and SRLV Accountants £3,172.

A corrupted copy of the firm’s QuickBooks Desktop File reported by liquidators Azets is said to be hampering their investigations.

Liquidators have reported they are not “able to draw a conclusion yet as to the likelihood of a distribution becoming available to unsecured creditors at this time.”

Other Places Drama was incorporated at Companies House in 2018, with its principal activity reported as worldwide touring/live music performances (excluding the US).

NEXT STEPS

Despite is cash woes, Boy George is continuing to graft hard across the performing scene.

As well as working on new music and doing a stint on Broadway, we can reveal he is secretly working on a new version of his hit musical Taboo.

While insiders said plans were in the very early stages, George’s hope is that the show will return to London’s West End later this year.

The production, which tells the story of George’s life before he found fame, first opened back in 2002 before going on a nationwide tour.

A source said: “It’s currently at the talks stage being worked on behind the scenes but George is really excited about the possibility of Taboo returning to the West End.

“George is also set to release a new physical only album in the coming months as well as his broadway stint in Moulin Rouge.”

Last month Boy George and Culture Club were announced as headliners for Tunes in The Park in Cornwall.

The Eighties legends will join Jess Glynne and Craig David at Port Eliot Estate in St Germans between August 21 and 24.
