The Ballad Of Darren will be the group’s ninth studio album.
The band, which formed in 1988, have created 10 new songs for the album – which will be released on July 21 2023.
Fortunately for fans, the first track from the album – The Narcissist – is out now so fans can have a listen before the album is released.
Speaking about the upcoming songs they have created, Damon Albarn said: “This is an aftershock record, reflection and comment on where we find ourselves now.”

Graham Coxon added: “The older and madder we get, it becomes more essential that what we play is loaded with the right emotion and intention.

David Rowntree spoke about working together again, saying: “It always feels very natural to make music together.
“With every record we do, the process reveals something new and we develop as a band. We don’t take that for granted.”
“For any long term relationship to last with any meaning you
have to be able to surprise each other somehow and somehow we all continue to do that,” Alex James added.
Blur will reunite tomorrow at Colchester Arts Centre, followed on by a handful of other venues.
Fans will be able to watch them live at Eastbourne Winter Gardens, The Halls Wolverhampton and O2 City Hall Newcastle later this month.
They will later reunite for their sold epic comeback gig at Wembley on the weekend of July 8 and 9.
