Blow to Rebekah Vardy as two of her firms plunge into debt after Wagatha Christie trial

REBEKAH Vardy’s finances are at rock bottom following her Wagatha Christie legal battle, with two of her companies now in the red.

The firms owned by the WAG, 42, and her Leicester City husband Jamie, 37, owe just over £180,000, according to latest figures filed at Companies House yesterday.

They state V9 Academy has net liabilities of £129,889 whilst BKYV Media’s liabilities stand at £50,209.

Becky is expected to fork out £1.5million towards Coleen Rooney’s legal bill after losing their bitter libel fight.

And her balance may suffer further as Coleen’s side last month reignited the war by contesting details of the judgement.

As the Vardy family enjoyed a luxury family break in Thailand, The Sun revealed that Rooney’s side are disputing the “unreasonable and disproportionate” 20 per cent costs they had been ordered to pay, and talks will re-commence later this year.

Rebekah and Jamie’s third company looks a little healthier, however.

Their VP Media film has net assets of £794,286 – albeit a slump from £805,088 in the previous accounting period.

Last year, a judge ruled 37-year-old Coleen’s accusations that Rebekah had leaked stories about her were substantially true.

Coleen opened up about the courtroom saga in a documentary called The Real Wagatha Story after signing a lucrative deal with Disney+.

She posed for Vogue magazine and also released a book titled My Account, which has earned her massive royalties.

Becky, however, has not yet seemed to cash in on the row.

In April last year she applied to trademark the phrase “Wagatha Christie” to try and profit from the court clash, then in August she set up a new firm called Wagatha Christie International – but it is yet to file any accounts.

Becky has also left the spotlight largely to Coleen, conducting just a handful of interviews and instead fronting a Channel 4 documentary about Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She has always denied any wrongdoing.
