Kate, who played Lucy on the long running CBS sitcom, revealed just days earlier she had been diagnosed with lung cancer – even though she never smoked a cigarette in her life.
Over the weekend, the 43-year-old posted a TikTok giving an update on her battle, saying she had successful surgery.
“Hey everyone! I just wanted to thank you all so much for the good wishes and all the love that I have received this past week, she said.
“It meant so much to me and really came at a time that I really needed it, so thank you.”
After a slight pause to compose herself, she continued.
“I have great news, which is that I am cancer free!” she exclaimed. “The surgery last week went great. All the reports came back that it worked, I don’t need to do any other treatment.
“So big thank you to all my doctors and nurses and everyone that took just really great care of me. And thanks to figuring it out early because I am very very lucky and I know that.”
She concluded by saying she feels good now, and is looking forward to spending Christmas with her young son.
“I’m honestly just so excited and truly grateful. So thank you all for all the prayers and wishes.”
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME
Fans flooded the comments section with love and support.
“That’s fantastic news!” one person said. “You make the world so much better by being in it.”
Another added: “You’re human sunshine and I am so glad everything looks great for you.”
While a third commented: “Your enthusiasm for life is everywhere. Never lose your excitement at being alive.”
And a fourth gushed: “So glad you are doing better!!! You always put a smile on my face.”

SCARY DIAGNOSIS
The Garfunkel and Oates star had only shared her cancer diagnosis a week ago, while sitting in a chair in a hospital, wearing a hospital gown.
“Hey, everybody. This is not a TikTok. It’s a sicktok,” Kate began the video.
“I’m in the hospital, but it’s because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday.”
Kate said that the doctors caught it pretty early.
“It’s pretty weird because I’ve never smoked a cigarette a day in my life,” she said.
“So, it was a surprise, but also, I guess it happens.”
“The greatest news is, they caught it early, they got it, out. I’m all good,” Kate finished.
BRAVE BATTLE
Kate went on to say that it’s been a bit of a trip and that she will be moving slowly for a few weeks.
“But, then I’ll be back at it,” she said.
The comedian shared that she is going to start painting more, which she will be doing during her recovery.
Kate then wondered why she was still talking and said it was because she was taking medication.
The video then ended with a clip of her walking down the hallway of the hospital she was in, as she took in the art on the walls.
“I gotta say, the artwork here is pretty nice,” she told the nurse behind her.
The TikTok then ended with a photo of Kate holding up her post-surgery meal, which consisted of a banana, Frosted Flakes, milk, and another food item covered by a lid.
