Beyoncé’s mom promises no glitches for singer’s live Netflix special after Tyson-Paul fight fiasco: ‘God is going to be there’

Tina Knowles said Beyoncé’s upcoming NFL halftime show performance, which will stream live on Netflix Christmas Day, won’t have any glitches because God will ensure it runs smoothly.

“Everything’s going to be good,” the famous mom told TMZ this week. “God is going to be there.”

Beyoncé, 43, is set to perform songs from “Cowboy Carter” during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game at NRG Stadium in Houston, her hometown.

The outlet caught up with Knowles, 70, after boxing legend Mike Tyson’s ill-fated fight against Jake Paul was riddled with heavy glitches while it was being live-streamed via Netflix on Nov. 15.

During the fight, Netflix was hit with more than 88,000 reports of streaming problems, with Barstool Sports honcho Dave Portnoy calling it “unwatchable.”

Netflix has since been hit with a stunning $50 million class action lawsuit by a Florida resident.

“Netflix customers experienced massive streaming issues and should have known better because it’s happened before,” the man reportedly complained in his lawsuit. “They were woefully ill-prepared.”

Netflix claimed last Saturday that the matchup peaked at 65 million concurrent streams worldwide.

The lawsuit alleges many of those viewers missed huge chunks of the stream due to issues with streaming glitches and buffering issues, and that some fans had no access at all.

NFL executives were reportedly worried following the fiasco, as Netflix will stream both the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ravens vs. Texans games on Christmas Day.

League insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Grazian reported that the NFL communicated with Netflix to “assess the likelihood that they could repeat themselves on Christmas” and was “reassured that Netflix had figured out what went wrong” and that it won’t happen again.

Not all fans were convinced that Knowles’ faith in God would clear the live stream of all possible issues, however, with one tweeting, “i think god has bigger things to worry [about] 😭.”

“What does GOD have to do with the Netflix server working properly?” another questioned.

“I respect Tina’s faith, but I hope they have a solid backup plan just in case,” a third unconvinced fan added.

Beyoncé has not publicly weighed in on the concern. Page Six reached out to her rep for comment.
