Beyoncé teases new haircare line: ‘I can’t wait’

Beyoncé went from snatching our edges to helping grow them back.

The “Cuff It” singer teased on Tuesday that she is in the process of creating a haircare venture in honor of her mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, who owned a popular hair salon in Houston, Texas in the ’90s.

“How many of ya’ll knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” she wrote on Instagram. “Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done.”

Beyoncé, 41, wrote that she was “exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women” in her mom’s hair salon.

“I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls,” the mom of three continued. “I watched her heal and be of service to so many women.”

Beyoncé concluded, “Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

Along with her message, she shared a mirror pic of herself curling her hair while sitting at her white vanity — filled with bottles of what appear to be oils and lotions with homemade labels, apparently prototypes of whatever Bey could be cooking up — and an image of her younger self getting her box braids curled at the ends.

News of Beyoncé’s new venture comes nearly two months after reports surfaced that she and Adidas mutually agreed to part ways after the “Break My Soul” singer’s Ivy Park clothing line sales plummeted 50 percent.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the 32-time Grammy winner’s line brought in just $40 million in 2022 compared to $93 million in 2021.

Despite the low clothing sales, Beyoncé is currently overseas embarking on her “Renaissance” world tour. She is set to begin the North American leg of her tour in July.
