Angie Stone had ‘booked entire UK tour’ days before tragic death in car crash ‘on her way to a performance’

ANGIE Stone revealed she had “booked an entire UK tour” just days before she was tragically killed in a horror car crash.

The music legend, 63, died in a shocking collision on Saturday morning after her show in Montgomery, Alabama.

She told fans in her final Instagram post that she had ‘booked an entire UK tour’Credit: Instagram

The Wish I Didn’t Miss You singer told her fans about the “surprise” projects she was working on, in her tragic final Instagram post on February 18.

Angie revealed she was ready to go on tour and had booked a set of UK shows.

The legend said she was going “everywhere”, in response to a fan who asked the music star to come to France.

She said: “I promise you that’s on the way. We just booked an entire UK tour and we’re going everywhere so just sit tight.

“I promise you it’ll happen.”

Angie told her fans, in the video, that she was booking tours for this year and next.

She even revealed a 2026 tour had been scheduled and she was “just getting ready to hit the ground running” on her 2025 gigs.

The tragic star showed no signs of retiring or stopping her amazing work in music.

Angie told fans in her final post: “I’m never just sitting still. I’m always on the move. I’m always doing something.”

The singer was killed on Saturday morning, just hours before she was due to perform at the CIAA tournament in Baltimore, Maryland.

Angie’s representative Deborah R. Champagne confirmed the star died early on March 1 morning, to TMZ.

Her daughter Diamond Stone led touching tributes to the music icon, in a Facebook post.

Diamond confirmed her mother’s death and said: “My mommy is gone.”

Angie is also survived by her son Michael Archer and two grandchildren.

INCREDIBLE CAREER

Angie shot to fame as part of the all-female hip-hop group The Sequence.

The trio were the first women group to be signed to the iconic Sugar Hill Records and they were best known hits like Funk You Up.

This song was sampled by Bruno Mars for his worldwide number one Uptown Funk and by Dr Dre in his song Keep Their Heads Ringin’.

Angie later left the group after six years and embarked on a solo career in the 1990s.

She also received three Grammy nominations throughout her amazing career in music.
