Things appear to be heating up for Angelina Jolie and British rapper Akala.
Akala has reportedly introduced the Oscar winner, 49, to his friends and family, sources told the Daily Mail Monday.
Insiders claim that the duo have bonded over a “shared love of history and his fountain of knowledge.”
Akala, 40, has reportedly been “educating Angelina on Britain’s colonial past and the country’s prominent Black figures.”
“Akala has been teaching Angelina Jolie a lot about Black British history as she looks for new source material for films,” the outlet’s sources said of the rumored couple.
“He introduced her to the Kelso Cochrane story. She is a keen historian so there have been a lot of conversations about Olive Morris and Kelso.”
While neither the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress nor Akala have publicly confirmed they’re dating, the insiders claimed that he “loves how fearless and independent” Jolie is.
“They are seeing each other and hanging out regularly,” the sources added of the two – who were also spotted at the London Film Festival separately on Thursday.
Akala’s sister is British rapper Ms. Dynamite, who Jolie has also taken an interest in, per the tabloid’s sources.
“They were introduced through a charitable venture they were both supporting, and Angelina has been interested in learning more about his activism and loves his sister’s music,” they said.
Meanwhile, a separate source also told the outlet that there is “no romantic connection” between the mother of six and the “Carried Away” musician.
They even alleged that Akala is dating his business partner Chanelle Newman.
This new development in Jolie and Akala’s relationship comes amid a report claiming they spent time together at her hotel in London.
“Angelina and Akala have been secretly spending nights together at her London hotel The Corinthia,” a source told The Sun on Monday.
“Angelina arrived at the hotel via the loading bay at around 8pm on Wednesday before being joined by Akala at around 10pm. The pair spent Wednesday and Thursday night together inside the hotel and did not leave.”
Although Akala and Jolie are reportedly “using separate cars and secret entrances to keep their relationship under wraps” their romance is allegedly “the real deal.”
Aside from this past week’s outing, the UK native and Jolie were pictured at the New York Film Festival on Sept. 29. They were even photographed alongside Jolie’s son Pax, 20, who she shares with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
Earlier, on Sept. 28, Akala and Jolie were spotted at an event in NYC ahead of the film festival.
Jolie was previously married to Pitt, 60, from 2014 until they called it quits in 2016. They were declared legally single in 2019 and remain embroiled in divorce proceedings.
