AMY Winehouse’s dad is suing two of her pals after they allegedly “kept the profits” from a sale of her belongings.

Taxi driver Mitch has filed a High Court claim aiming to recover money he says should be paid to the foundation set up in the tragic singer’s name.

He claims Amy’s rumoured lover Catriona Gourlay and stylist Naomi Parry pocketed a chunk of the £3.3million raised in an auction in Beverly Hills in the US in 2021.

The top-priced lot was the Parry-made dress Amy wore for her final performance in 2011 which fetched £200,000.

Notes written by Back to Black star Amy, who died from alcohol poisoning aged 27 in 2011, were also said to be among items sold.

Catriona and Naomi sold more of Amy’s belongings this year, the Amy Winehouse Estate told The Sun.

It said 30 per cent of the proceeds from the first auction went to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

In a statement, it added: “Two individuals sold a number of items at that auction and have retained the proceeds: the items were all Amy-related.

“This year they put more Amy-related items up for auction. Together, the two auctions generated six-figure sums for each of them.

“The estate has questioned how these items came into their possession and has not had satisfactory answers. The estate has launched a legal process to clarify the situation.

“The Amy Winehouse Foundation will directly benefit if monies are recovered from either defendant.”

Naomi wrote a book about Amy in 2021 which had a chapter by Catriona.

Catriona also told of her relationship with Amy in a BBC documentary and said the star was “confused” about her sexuality. She said: “Our relationship was so unique.” Mitch said then: “She was always happy with Cat in whatever way.”
