Adele reveals reason why she was close to never performing again

ADELE has revealed she may never have performed again had her Las Vegas residency gone ahead as originally planned.

The Easy On Me singer left fans furious in January last year when she cancelled her entire run of shows at Caesars Palace – less than 24 hours before the first concert was due to begin.

A rescheduled set of 34 Weekends With Adele gigs eventually kicked off in November last year.

At her penultimate show on Friday, she said: “I am sure you heard it got off to a very rocky start.

“A year and a half ago I had the audacity to stand up for myself and know something was not right for me. And it was crazy.

“I let a lot of people down, but had I let myself down I probably would have never seen you again.

“This has been a real highlight of my life for four months. So I am really glad you are here.”

The singer admitted she was gutted to be performing on the same night as Taylor Swift in Sin City.

He said: “I am a bit bummed I didn’t finish last week, because then I could have gone there. You never know I could finish and run over there really quickly.”

Despite her residency Adele admitted she hadn’t had a chance to explore the city, as she had been jetting back to her home in LA between shows.

She said: “I haven’t got to explore much of it. It seems like a right laugh. That is what everyone says.”
