Last night the customer services assistant, from Glasgow, said: “They kept hitting me — I was covered in bruises and cuts. We paid more than £2,000 for this trip and I didn’t even get to see Adele sing one song.”

Steven was given gold-dust tickets for the Someone Like You legend’s concert as a birthday gift from his partner Tony McCormick, 27.

The pair travelled to Munich for a five-day holiday before going to see his favourite artist.

They arrived early at the 80,000- capacity outdoor arena to soak up the atmosphere in the fan zone.

But Steven’s dream night turned into a nightmare after he was “jumped” by a group of stewards just minutes before the show began.

He told The Scottish Sun: “We’d been in the venue for around three hours. Adele was just about to step on stage, so I went to the loo.

“But as I left the cubicle, I was surrounded by four security guards.

“They told me that a woman had reported me for harassing her but we didn’t see any woman, or know who they were referring to.

“I am gay. Tony and I had been holding hands and I think that is why they targeted us.”

The pair claim event staff grabbed Steven’s arms and forced him to put his hands above his head.

They directed them to a private area beyond the barriers and then violently assaulted Steven.

He said: “A bald man punched me in the face and I blacked out.

“I can’t remember what happened after that. He broke my eye socket. Later I needed a special eye doctor to help me with the bleeding.

“Tony tried to get them to let me go but they threw him to the floor.
“Staff in the first aid tent tried to stop them hurting us further. They then threw us out of the venue.”

Medics called an ambulance and Steven was treated in hospital for six hours after his ordeal last Friday.

Cops in Munich said yesterday they are probing a “physical confrontation” involving security guards.

The event’s promoters denied there had been a homophobic incident.
