RENOWNED Mexican actor Adan Canto has died at age 42.
Canto, who transitioned from a singer in Mexico City to a popular Hollywood actor, died on Monday, according to Deadline.

The cause of death was appendiceal cancer, which he reportedly kept quiet even as his health declined.
He was born in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, and began performing as a singer at the age of 7.
Canto left home at 16 to pursue being a musician in Mexico City.
While there, Canto started acting in local commercials and TV shows before he was scouted for his first role in The Following in 2013.
The actor was known for his roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2 Hearts, Halle Berry’s directorial debut film Bruised, and the Fox drama series The Following.
While filming, Canton met his wife, sculptor and painter Stephanie Lindquist, whom he married and had two children with.
He also appeared in the Netflix drama series Narcos, the ABC/Netflix political drama Designated Survivor, and the ABC prime-time series Blood & Oil.
For the last two years, Canto starred in Fox’s The Cleaning Lady as the mobster Arman Morales.
He played the part for two seasons, but when his health continued to decline, he was unable to film the third season.
Canto had hoped to return to the show for the following season.
The actor also directed short films in both 2014 and 2020.
Many of his fans took to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their sadness.
“He was one of the best parts of Designated Survivor. RIP,” said one user under a Pop Crave tweet about the actor’s death.
“OMG WHAAAAAT?!!” exclaimed another commenter.
“The cleaning lady will never be the same again.
“Tony alone can’t hold the fort. Oh Armaaan,” accompanied by a crying Regina George photo.
