A Diddy juror said he agreed with the verdict, but believed Cassie Ventura’s testimony

During Combs’ trial, the jury found him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted him on the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. George, an alternate juror, said he agreed with their decision.

“Reading all my notes and looking back at the evidence, I probably would have reached the same conclusion as the other jurors,” he said, per USA Today.

He believed that the prosecution’s case, particularly on the racketeering charge, felt shaky.

“I think there was always a little bit of doubt in people’s minds,” he said. “I think it was a tough case to prove, especially the first (charge of racketeering). There was always a little bit of doubt there, even from the beginning.”

While he believed the defense managed to make some witnesses appear less credible, he thought Ventura was believable. He said that while he did not believe Combs sex trafficked her, he said he thinks the jury “did believe” Ventura’s testimony. He described her as “very credible.”

“She wouldn’t have done all this just to come up there and lie about everything,” he said.

He said he felt less convinced by the anonymous witness Jane’s testimony.
