10 Shows Like ‘Bosch: Legacy’ to Binge After the Series Finale

The Bosch era is over at Prime Video. More than a decade after Harry Bosch made his TV debut, the LA detective has solved his final case in the series finale of Bosch sequel series Bosch: Legacy. (Though it’s not quite goodbye forever, since Harry will make an appearance in the upcoming Ballard spinoff.)

With no more episodes of Bosch in the works, where can fans turn to get their gritty crime drama fix? Fortunately, there are planty of options. Here are 10 must-watch shows to binge after you watch Bosch: Legacy Season 3.

‘Dark Winds’

Bosch’s LA setting was as much a character in the show as Harry Bosch himself. The same goes for the Arizona landscape of AMC’s ‘70s-set detective drama Dark Winds. Based on a series of novels by Tony Hillerman, it follows Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon), a Navajo tribal policeman, as he investigates crimes on the reservation while grappling with tension between his role as a law enforcement officer and his indigenous heritage.

Dark Winds is streaming on AMC+, Netflix, and Hoopla. Season 3 is currently airing on Sundays on AMC.

‘Perry Mason’

Want another show about a complicated PI solving crimes in Los Angeles? HBO’s sadly canceled Perry Mason reimagines the classic TV character in this 1930s-set origin story that traces his journey from disillusioned detective to lawyer for the wrongly accused. The Americans star Matthew Rhys plays Mason, who must wrestle with personal demons as he tries to unravel the truth behind high-profile crimes.

Perry Mason Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Max.

‘On Call’

In the mood for a quick binge? Prime Video’s On Call is a fast-paced cop drama from Law & Order producer Dick Wolf. Over eight, 30-minute episodes, the show follows a pair of Long Beach, Calif., police officers (played by Troian Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente) as they deal with the day-to-day challenges of their jobs while also investigating the murder of another officer who was killed during a traffic stop.

On Call is streaming on Prime Video.

‘Goliath’

Another show that makes effective use of its LA-setting, Goliath follows Billy McBride (Billy Bob Thornton) a genius lawyer turned ambulance chaser and alcoholic who reluctantly takes on a wrongful death case against a powerful corporation. What follows over the next four seasons of this engrossing legal drama are conspiracies, political shenanigans, bizarre twists, and memorable side trips to Mexico and California’s Central Valley. Goliath is weirder and less straightforward than Bosch, but explores similar themes of flawed men seeking justice in a violent and corrupt world.

Goliath is streaming on Prime Video.

‘The Lincoln Lawyer’

Those familiar with the Bosch universe know that in author Michael Connelly’s novels, Harry Bosch has a younger half-brother, defense attorney Mickey Haller, aka “The Lincoln Lawyer.” The two occasionally cross paths in the books, and Haller is the central character in a series of legal thrillers from Connelly. He also the star of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, which features Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Haller. Unfortunately, there’s no crossover with Bosch because the shows stream on different platforms. But the Netflix drama – which was recently renewed for a fourth season – still shares a similar DNA with its sibling show

The Lincoln Lawyer Seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix.
