Wilson has both brothers and sisters. His two beautiful sisters are Whitney Kiana Beckstrom and Sophie Wilson.
Whitney’s Instagram page says that she is a professional dance teacher and that she has a NASM Nutrition Certification. She is also a student at the PTA school and is married to Chad Beckstrom.
In the same way, Zach’s youngest sister, Sophie, turned 14 yesterday, October 16, 2022. Wilson’s family has a long history in sports, and the teen joined Dynasty Athletics in 2019.

Going to college
In 2018, Wilson was a true freshman at BYU. He played in nine games and started seven of them. He started his first game as a quarterback for BYU against Hawaii. At the end of the season, he had completed 120 of 182 passes for 1,578 yards, 12 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl after completing all 18 of his passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns in a 49–18 win over Western Michigan.
The year 2019
As a sophomore in 2019, Wilson started nine games and completed 199 of 319 passes for 2,382 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. The Cougars were invited to the 2019 Hawaii Bowl, where Wilson was named BYU’s MVP in a 38–34 loss to Hawaii.
season of 2020
Wilson started 12 games and completed 247 of 336 passes for 3,692 yards, 33 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also ran for 255 yards and 10 touchdowns, breaking Steve Young’s school record of 73.5 percent completions in a season. He was named the offensive MVP of the 2020 Boca Raton Bowl after completing 26 of 34 passes for 425 yards and three touchdowns in the 49–23 win over UCF. The 2020 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award was given to him and USC safety Talanoa Hufanga.
Wilson’s first game was against the Carolina Panthers, where he played against his predecessor at the Jets, Sam Darnold. After throwing an interception in the first half, he finished with 258 passing yards, two touchdowns, and a 2-point conversion run, but the Jets lost 19–14. Wilson threw four interceptions in the Jets’ home opener against the New England Patriots in Week 2, including on his first two passes. In the end, the Jets lost 25–6.
Wilson’s first career win came against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4 after a 26–0 shutout loss to the Denver Broncos in which he threw for 160 yards and two interceptions. Wilson threw one interception but also two touchdowns and 297 yards by completing 21 of 34 passes. One of his touchdowns was a 53-yard pass to wide receiver Corey Davis that gave the Jets a 24–17 lead in the fourth quarter. They went on to win 27–24 in overtime. Wilson hurt his knee in Week 7 when he played the Patriots. Linebacker Matthew Judon hit him in the knee in the second quarter. He was taken out of the game for the rest of the 54–13 loss, and Mike White took his place. After the loss, it was said that Wilson had sprained the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, which kept him from playing for four games. Wilson came back in Week 12, and he beat the Houston Texans in his first game away from home. During the game, he also scored his first touchdown by running. Wilson lost four of his last five games, and it was against the Jacksonville Jaguars that he won his last game of the season. But his turnover ratio got better because he didn’t throw an interception in those five games.
