After Cicero gets to Yellowstone City, the movie tells his story. Some of the people in the town are suspicious of him right away, and when a gold prospector is killed, they are even more suspicious.
Did Cicero put the man to death? The Sheriff is sure of it, so he puts Cicero in jail for the crime. But as the story goes on, it becomes clear that the real killer hasn’t been caught yet.

Is there going to be a sequel to Murder at Yellowstone City?
At this point, there has been no official word about a sequel, and we don’t think one is likely.
We think this because it looks like Murder at Yellowstone City is a movie on its own. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for a sequel, but if there is one, it would have nothing to do with the murder mystery at the heart of the first movie, since the case is solved before the credits roll.
What could the second part of Murder at Yellowstone City be about?
But if there is a second part, it might be about Cicero’s life outside of Yellowstone City. At the end of the first movie, he gets on his horse and rides away, probably looking for a new place to live. In a sequel, he could get into more trouble in a different town, but we don’t know what that trouble would be.
If the sequel didn’t continue Cicero’s story, it could focus on religious man Thaddeus Murphy (Thomas Jane) and his wife Alice (Anna Camp) as they promised to bring peace to Yellowstone City at the end of the movie. We all know from watching a lot of westerns that there isn’t much peace in the Wild West, so there could be another murder in town. Thaddeus and Alice would probably look into the murder and catch the person who did it.

How soon could Murder at Yellowstone City 2 come out?
If a sequel gets the go-ahead, it could come out as soon as next year. However, since there doesn’t seem to be any pre-production work going on, we might have to wait until 2024 or later.
But you shouldn’t get your hopes up, because we don’t think there will ever be a Part 2.

After Cicero gets to Yellowstone City for the first time, the movie keeps following his journey. When a local gold prospector is found dead, some people start to wonder about him right away, and their doubts only get stronger as time goes on.
Was it Cicero who put a man to death? The Sheriff is sure of this, so he puts Cicero in jail for committing the crime. But as we find out more about what happened, it’s clear that the real killer is still out there.

Is there going to be a sequel to Murder at Yellowstone City?
There has been no official word about a sequel yet, and to be honest, we don’t think it’s likely that there will be one.
We think this is true because Murder at Yellowstone City looks like it was made by a small group of people. Even though the case is solved before the end credits, that doesn’t mean there can’t be a sequel. If there were a part 2, it wouldn’t be about the murder mystery that was the focus of the first movie.
What could the second part of Murder at Yellowstone City be about?
At this point, it’s very unlikely that the story will go on.
If there is a part 2, though, it might be about Cicero and his life outside of Yellowstone City. At the end of the first movie, he gets off his horse and walks away, seemingly looking for a new place to set up a permanent home. In a possible sequel, he might get into more trouble in a different city, but we’re not sure what kind of trouble it would be.
The religious couple Thaddeus (Thomas Jane) and Alice (Anna Camp) Murphy, who promised to bring peace to Yellowstone City at the end of the first movie, may be the focus of the sequel if it doesn’t continue Cicero’s story. We all know from watching westerns that there isn’t much peace in the Wild West, so it’s possible that there will be another murder in the town. People expect Thaddeus and Alice to look into the murder and bring the person who did it to justice.

Whodunit in Yellowstone City?
The American Western movie Murder at Yellowstone City, which was first called Murder at Emigrant Gulch, was made by Richard Gray. Eric Belgau was in charge of writing the script for the movie.
A gold prospector gets rich in a town that was booming during the gold rush but is now dying, and he is killed right away. Sheriff Jim Ambrose (Gabriel Byrne), because “he’s the only man who doesn’t know what I’ll do to him,” thinks the murderer is a newcomer, a former slave who calls himself Cicero (Isaiah Mustafa). But as it becomes clear that Cicero is innocent and the mystery of the prospector’s death deepens, putting the whole town in danger, the town’s new minister, Thaddeus Murphy (Thomas Jane), and his straight-shooting wife, Alice (Anna Camp), must stand up to Sheriff Ambrose and find the real killer. This is what they have to do to save the town.

Production
The main filming for the production started in May 2021 in the state of Montana. During the Cannes Film Market in June 2021, new information about the cast came out, and it was confirmed that filming was done.
In April 2022, it was said that RLJE Films had bought the rights to show the movie in North America. The movie will be shown in theaters and on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms for the first time on June 24, 2022.
