After responding to the scene and finding the woman dead inside her home, WMPD said, “Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Wilson Road on 10/29/2022 at approximately 10:55 p.m. in connection with the shots fired. When police arrived, they discovered a black woman who had been shot under a carport. EMS was brought to the scene, but the woman did not survive her injuries.
