In the show’s second season, Campbell will debut as a character from the past of FBI Special Agent Garrett Miller. Campbell was once a straight-laced, hard-working woman who took a low-paying position bartending at a Las Vegas bar in an effort to pay off her student loans. Unfortunately, when Agent Miller hires her as an informant for a case he’s working on, she ends up getting lost in a confusing FBI narcotics case.
However, their affair brought an end to both their romance and the aforementioned drug case. It’s unclear how Campbell’s reappearance would affect the show’s protagonist, Thony (Élodie Yung), a Cambodian doctor whose profession as a mob “cleaner” keeps her under the noses of police authorities.
It appears that Frei’s Campbell may be one of the new people from Arman and Nadia’s past who will be introduced to Tony in a “fresh, new way,” as showrunner Melissa Carter said in an interview with Collider in June about the upcoming season. 2.
