Who Is Powerball Lottery Winner Joe Chahayed?

Domata Peko, the wife’s father Powerball Lottery Winner Joe Chahayed.

The father-in-law of former Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko is the owner of the gas station in LA County where the winning ticket was purchased.

Peko’s father-in-law Joe Chahayed, who runs Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, California, wins $1 million for selling the winning ticket.

The former Bengals DT wrote on his Instagram page to congratulate his father-in-law on winning the lottery after learning that he had sold the winning PowerBall (ticket) for $2 billion.

The jackpot was by far the largest lottery prize ever awarded, breaking the previous record of $1.586 billion won by three purchasers of Powerball tickets in 2016.

Only four jackpots totaling more than $1 billion have ever been won. However, none of them compare to the current reward, which started at $20 million on August 6 and has dramatically increased over three unproductive months.

The jackpot’s estimated value was $1.9 billion on Monday, but following additional computations, it was increased to $2.04 billion on Tuesday morning.

According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, a participating lottery had issues processing sales, which led to the drawing that was scheduled for Monday night being moved to Tuesday.

The difficulty in staging a drawing on Monday night was attributed to one participant lottery’s poor handling of its sales data.

When they were finished, the unnamed lottery was free to continue with its pre-draw procedures.

The winning numbers and recorded footage of the lottery were posted on the Powerball’s YouTube account. The winner of an annuity will receive the $2.04 billion jackpot, which will be paid out over a 29-year period.

The majority of winners opted for cash, which was worth $997.6 million. The odds of winning the prize are one in 292.2 million.
