Lenoir City Police recently arrested a man named Jacob Yerkes on aggravated stalking and harassment charges following a joint investigation with the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) into his viral social media video.
According to a police report provided by the LCSO, Jacob Yerkes posted threats on multiple social media accounts, including TikTok and YouTube.

Jacobs Yerkes was taken into custody after an investigation revealed that the threat he posted was apparently directed at a co-worker.
Police arrested Jacob Yerkes
On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Lenoir City Police arrested a 25-year-old man named Jacob Yerkes on aggravated stalking and harassment charges.

According to the (LCSO), Yerkes was taken into custody after a joint investigation was launched regarding threats to a coworker. The LCSO shared this information in its official incident report.
Police Investigation
The Lenoir City Police Department began investigating Yerkes as early as Nov. 2 before arresting him. In a further investigation conducted jointly by LCSO and LCPD, Yerkes was found to be having unsolicited contact with a former co-worker.
Yerkes also apparently posted threats of physical violence on several social media sites such as TikTok, YouTube and Twitter. LCSO said the social media threats Yerkes posted received national attention. This prompted the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force to join the investigation of Yerkes with the LCSO.
The Loudon Sheriff’s Office is speaking out
According to the LCSO, Yerkes is still under investigation and could face additional charges as the investigation progresses. LCSO further assured everyone that there are no other threats to the public at this time.
